Compared to the Series of 1917, $1 Legal Tender Notes of the Series of 1880 are much more difficult to find. As a whole, examples with the earliest signature combinations become progressively more intricate in an aesthetic sense featuring rich floral protectors and large spiked Treasury seals. This example being an early example of its series features these distinctions and retains strong color among these striking features. In all, a perfect addition for one's type set.
