Fr. 309. 1880 $20 Silver Certificate. PMG Very Fine 30.

Mid-grade offerings of this scarce Decatur $20 design type are far to few to satisfy collector demand. Good appeal is still had on both sides of the note, given its time in circulation. Stephen Decatur, who was a Commodore in the United States Navy and was later killed in a duel, is depicted at right. PMG comments "Minor Restoration".
