1855-O Gold Dollar. Type II. Winter-1. AU-55 (NGC).
A popular date, the only Type II gold dollar struck at the New Orleans Mint. Only a hint of high point wear can be seen on the generally boldly defined devices. Satiny surfaces are devoid of any distractions acquired through its brief time in commercial channels, and the eye appeal is quite pleasing with hints of honey gold at the reverse periphery.
PCGS# 7535. NGC ID: 25C7.
