1849-C Gold Dollar. Close Wreath. Winter-1, the only known dies. AU Details--Scratch (PCGS).
A sharp example of this rarity from the Charlotte Mint. Considerable mint luster remains in the protected areas and vibrant yellow-gold shades dominate the patina. A small area of scratches is noted above AR of DOLLAR on the upper reverse field.
