1883 Trade Dollar. Proof-65 Cameo (PCGS).
An outstanding example of this final year, regular issue Proof Trade dollar issue. The surfaces are moderately and attractively toned, and we note particularly vivid undertones when observed with the aid of direct lighting. The devices are blanketed in satiny luster which contrasts the deep reflectivity in the fields. Among the finest certified for the date, and sure to sell for a strong premium. Last of the regular issue Trade dollars, and a Proof-only issue with a mintage of 979 pieces, the 1883 enjoys particularly strong demand as a high grade type coin.
