1881 Morgan Silver Dollar. Proof-62 (NGC).
Richly toned in autumnal orange-gold and deep blue-gray patina, the watery reflective underlying mirrors enliven the patina when rotated under a light. Nicely struck with a soft frost on the devices, this borderline Choice example is a wholesome and presentable Proof Morgan dollar from an original mintage of only 984 pieces.
