1892-S Liberty Head Half Eagle. MS-63+ (PCGS). CAC.
Faintly semi-prooflike fields support frosty, smartly impressed devices. Drenched in vivid apricot-gold, a bold to sharp strike enhances this coin's appeal. The 1892-S is the first San Francisco Mint half eagle produced since 1888, the export trade claiming many of the 298,400 coins struck. Repatriations account for most of the Mint State coins in today's market, but they are few. Combining absolute and condition scarcity, this PQ PCGS MS-63+ is sure to appeal to advanced gold enthusiasts.
