Description
1958 Roscoe H. Hupper Plaque. Uniface. By Paul Manship. Bronze. Mint State.
87 mm x 113 mm. Mounted to a 121 mm x 147.5 mm x 17 mm wooden base. The plaque features a simple design with a bold high relief bust left, name and date ROSCOE . H . HUPPER . 1958 below, signed by the artist P. MANSHIP on the truncation. Rich antique brassy-gold color overall with no blemishes of note. The wooden base has a loop on back for hanging, several light to moderate scuffs and chips around the edge. The bust is that of Roscoe Henderson Hupper, a prominent admiralty lawyer in Maine, born March 11, 1883, died May 9, 1967.
