Description
1834 Matron Head Cent. N-2. Rarity-1. Small 8. MS-63 BN (PCGS).
Hard and frosty surfaces are dressed in dominant autumn-brown patina, the reverse with a mingling of glossy antique copper. Central striking detail is sharp, the borders fully denticulated, if a bit light along the upper left obverse. Scattered carbon spots on that side help to explain the MS-63 numeric grade from PCGS, the reverse impressively smooth and on its own suggestive of a higher Mint State rating.
