Description
1787 New Jersey Copper. Maris 64-t, W-5380. Rarity-1. No Sprig Above Plow, Trident Shield, Large Planchet. EF-45 BN (NGC).
Warm olive-brown and glossy, subtle sandy-copper highlights are discernible in the fields. Boldly struck enough to bring out all the design features and eliminate all of the original planchet surface everywhere but at central reverse, where just a touch of it remains. Free of sizeable marks or other significant blemishes, this is a pleasing New Jersey copper that would fit comfortably into many collections.
