CORINTHIA. Corinth. AR Stater (8.51 gms), ca. 345-307 B.C. NGC Ch EF, Strike: 4/5 Surface: 4/5.
HGC-4, 1848; Pegasi-458. Obverse: Pegasos flying left; Reverse: Helmeted head of Athena left; behind, Athena Nikephora standing left. A well-preserved Stater with attractive gunmetal surfaces. Curiously, the statue of Athena symbol on the reverse was struck mostly flat, leaving the small figure of Nike appearing to fly by herself.
