KM-A64.1; Cal-468. Variety with dots above both mintmarks. A rather unusual variety, struck at the start of the reign of Charles III but still in the name of Ferdinand VI. The present example displays a wide array of Chinese chopmarks peppered throughout the pillars side. Even still, much detail remains clear and soft luster occupies the fields. An overall dusty gray tone deepens to a shadowy black on the reverse periphery.
