KM-377.9; DP-Ho03. Die style of 1862-63, Sonora cap and Mexican eagle. Variety with normal "10 Ds". This decently preserved example exhibits a bold even strike with well-formed design features and rich patina in the crevasses. Close inspection reveals evidence of being expertly repaired at about 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock, now with a slight musty appearance. A presentable example of this RARE issue.
