MEXICO. Zacatecas. War of Independence. Real, 1811. Ferdinand VII. PCGS VF-20.
KM-184; Cal-698; Ramirez-Z1.1.2. Type 2 with castles and lions. Variety with open legends on L.V.O. side. A highly original example of this SCARCE type. While central detail on the L.V.O. side is mostly worn away, its outer legends remain intact and legible. The reverse exhibits a solid strike, albeit off-center. Details such as the royal arms and date are entirely clear. With an overall light gray tone, this piece serves as a delightful and wholesome representative for the issue.
