Obverse: AVGVSTIN BARBARICO S M VENITI / DVX, St. Mark standing to right, holding Gospels and presenting flag to Doge kneeling to left; Reverse: TIBI SOLI GLORIA, Christ enthroned facing front, barred IC-XC across in fields. Rich charcoal gray surfaces present ample detail for the grade despite the noted cleaning. The legends are nearly full with only a hint of striking weakness identifiable across Christ's body. The first we have presented in a long while, this example is sure to excite Venetian specialists.
