CHINA. Szechuan-Tibet. Rupee, ND (1939-42). Kangding Mint. NGC EF-40.
L&M-359B; K-589; KM-Y-3.3; WS-0763A-3. Variety with collar, vertical rosette, triangular pony tail, large head, and closed "ko". Exhibiting fairly bold detail for a Rupee on e obverse, the reverse does present some weakness on the left side of the flan. Hints of amber and tan patina stretch across silver gray surfaces that still showcase mottled pockets of mint luster. Eye appealing for the grade and sure to appeal to a wide audience.
