KM-39; FC-29; EL-40; Cal-1017. Mintage: 147,000. Three-year type. From a RARE transitional issue of Charles IV that we have only had the privilege to offer once before in recent memory. The present coin exhibits much of its original detail, and though there are signs of a rub, surfaces have begun to retone with satisfying indigo gray patina. Coupled with nice striking detail, overall eye appeal is quite decent for the NGC qualifier. No doubt a cherished opportunity for numismatists who have long awaited such an appearance in the market.
