Obverse: Christ Pantokrator seated facing on throne; Reverse: Romanus, placing hand on breast and holding globus cruciger, standing facing and being crowned by the Theotokos standing facing to right; four pellets in loros end. A well-produced gold piece with crisp detail and free from the graffiti and bending that plague this denomination. The surfaces glimmer with originality and display a lovely frosty finish.
