For prototype: RIC-911; Depeyrot-108/1. Obverse: Pearl-diademed, helmeted, and cuirassed bust facing slightly right, holding spear over shoulder and shield decorated with horseman motif; Reverse: Victory standing left, holding long jeweled cross; star to right. Some scattered encrustations, chips, and areas where the copper core is visible. Nonetheless, this imitation of a late Roman gold issue presents great historical interest and a pleasing motif.
