New York, New York. $5 Original. Fr. 394a. The Second NB. Charter #62. PMG Very Good 10.
The Second NB of the City of New York was chartered on August 13th, 1863 and was liquidated on April 28, 1882. It was later reorganized as Charter 2668 in 1911, re-using the title. According to Track & Price, this will be the first note from the Original series to come forth publicly, and it is sure to command a premium from New York collectors. The signatures are still legible, which is a treat given the grade.
