1884 Commodore Edward Preble / War with Tripoli Medal. Reproduction Dies. Julian NA-3. Bronzed Copper. Mint State.
64.8 mm. With subtle rose undertones to dominant autumn-brown patina. Small inscription REPRODUCTION 1884 along the lower reverse border; it is not known when the reproduction obverse die was prepared, but certainly by 1886. This is actually much scarcer than the original issue with perhaps as few as 33 being produced in this finish.
Collector tag with attribution notation included.
