CANADA. 10 Cents, 1902-H. Birmingham (Heaton) Mint. Edward VII. PCGS SPECIMEN-68.
KM-10. An enchanting, wondrous RARITY from the initial series of coinage under Edward VII, this lofty specimen-- tied with just one other for the top spot in the PCGS census --provides an incredibly sharp strike along with a soft, almost satiny appearance to the surface quality. The coloring remains mostly steely gray, with just a few hints of olive-amber sprinkled throughout. Given the extremely limited number of examples known for this year in the specimen finish, it is quite likely that they were produced in honor of Edward's coronation.
