Description

1787 Connecticut Copper. Miller 33.13-Z.1, W-3550. Rarity-6-. Draped Bust Left, INDE over INDN. VF-25 (PCGS).
113.2 grains. Golden brown on the obverse and a bit more steel brown on the reverse. Somewhat granular on both sides, particularly in areas that are shallowly defined due to both general weakness of the strike and the degraded states of the dies, but probably more the latter. A couple of thin scratches are noted on both sides. This is actually a fairly respectable example of the variety, and Clark used it to illustrate both dies.
PCGS# 685185.
