Description

1702 American Treasure Captured at Vigo Bay Medal. Betts-95. Gilt copper, 25.8 mm. MS-62 (PCGS).
69.3 grains. Bright golden gilding persists across both sides, only worn off on high points, notably including Queen Anne’s cheek. A lovely example in an unusual and scarce format. Most of these are simply brass.
