Description

2020 Lealana "Boron Butterfly" 10.811 Monero (XMR). Kizekra Comics Series. Serial No. 2. Rainbow Hologram Finish. 2oz 999 Fine Silver. Proof-69 Deep Cameo (PCGS).
Loaded with 10.811 XMR (Monero). This coin, named the Boron Butterfly, depicts a female super hero on the obverse with butterfly-esque wings and an intense rainbow hologram finish surrounding her in the fields. The reverse features the coin details like the denomination, series name, and silver content struck into the design at the borders. The XMR address and serial number are also laser engraved at the reverse edge. It features a current face value equivalent to roughly US$1,800, but the immense rarity it offers is undoubtedly many times more significant. It is the only example of the variety graded by PCGS and the impressive nature of the massive 2oz silver planchet is a true treat to experience in-hand. These coins were announced in December 2020 on the BitcoinTalk.org forum alongside the launch of the Kizekra comic book series. According to Smoothie, creator of the Lealana series, the comic book is centered around "a band of pro-privacy heroes called the Kizekra who join forces to take on an "anti-privacy" regime." This "privacy war" is an allegory for the overall ethos behind the Monero cryptocurrency and its developers. Both the characters in the comic book and the coins themselves take inspiration from the names of celestial bodies and elements used by Monero developers to name different versions of the Monero code. In total, 9 coins were released as part of the Lealana Kizekra Comics Series, all of which were in the Monero currency. The coin denominations in Monero reflect the actual atomic weight of the element or imaginary "element" that each coin is named after. These coins were originally distributed in sealed stainless steel housings featuring artwork inspired by the comic book series. The coins offered in this sale were sourced directly from the Lealana Archives and are the first to be sold outside of this special housing, allowing traditional collectors to acquire them in a more familar format. Also included with this coin is a signed Certificate of Authenticity issued by Lealana that outlines all of the coin information.
PCGS# 924783.
PCGS Population: 1; none finer. The only example graded by PCGS.
