1913-S Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle. MS-62 (PCGS).
Impressive and billowy mint luster blankets both sides of this pleasing example. The surfaces are uncommonly smooth at the assigned grade level, and the coin's appeal is enhanced by a sharp strike and lovely honey-rose color. A popular low mintage issue in the Saint-Gaudens series, only 34,000 double eagles were coined at San Francisco in 1913.
