1855-S Liberty Head Double Eagle. Small S. AU-50 (NGC).
Warm golden surfaces blend with soft pinkish-apricot patina on both sides of this lovely 1855-S double eagle. Smartly impressed with overall sharp definition, this lovely AU coin will have no problem finding it's way into a discriminating collector's cabinet. This lot includes the original box, informational CD on the S.S. Republic and Certificate of Authenticity, as issued by Odyssey Marine Exploration. The supporting items are available to the winning bidder upon request to Stack's Bowers Galleries at the close of the auction .
