1849 Gold Dollar. Open Wreath, No L, Small Head. MS-62 (PCGS). OGH.
A handsome piece that sports vivid olive-orange and medium gold colors to lustrous, frosty surfaces. Fully struck and crisp, this is a captivating Mint State example of the famous introductory gold dollar type without the designer's initial L (for Longacre) on the bust truncation.
