1864 Silver Three-Cent Piece. Proof-64 (PCGS). CAC.
Richly toned in dominant pearl-gray with steel-olive outlines to many of the design elements. Popular as a Civil War issue, the Proof 1864 is also in demand due to the low mintage status of the year's circulation strike silver three-cent piece.
PCGS# 3714. NGC ID: 27CA.
From the Jerome S. Reznick Collection. Earlier from Hollinbeck-Kagin's 296th Mail Sale, February 1972, lot 978. Collector tag with provenance notation included.
