1856 Silver Three-Cent Piece. MS-64+ (PCGS). CAC.
Faint, gently mottled overtones of olive iridescence enhance a base of antique silver patina. This is an attractively original coin, and of further desirability as a near-Gem representative of the challenging Type II three-cent silver design.
PCGS# 3672. NGC ID: 22Z5.
From the Jerome S. Reznick Collection. Earlier from our (Stack's) Arthur B. Stewart Collection sale, May 1972, lot 172. Collector tag with provenance notation included.
