Description

Fr. 1956-Hm. 1934 $5 Federal Reserve Note. St. Louis. PMG About Uncirculated 55. Solid Serial Number.
This 90 year old note, when discussing rarity, is in a different league than most of the other Federal Reserve Notes in today's auction. The Baeder census shows a total of only 12 1934 era $5, $10, $20 solid serial numbers combined for all denominations $5 - $100. (There are zero known $50 and zero known $100 1934 era solid serial numbers.) Considering that there are over 1000 1963 - 1995 FRN solid serial numbers known, this gives you an idea of how rare this 1934 era note is. The hammer could easily fall at a price well in excess of our high bid estimate.
From the Wisconsin Collection.

Estimate: $2000.00- $3500.00
