INDIA. Sultanate Coinage. Sultans of Gujarat. "Heavy" Tanka, AH 915 (1509). Muhammadabad Mint. Nasir al-din Mahmud I. NGC MS-64.
Fr-581; GG-G82 (R). Weight: 11.90 gms. A VERY RARE ruler from Gujarat, we can find no other examples of this type trading the recent past. When coupled with the beautiful details and crisp strike, this example delivers much commendability. Lustrous and presenting a full date on flan, this example is certain to catch the eye of all specialists in the type.
