GERMANY. Halberstadt. Taler, 1540. Halberstadt Mint. Albrecht V of Brandenburg. NGC AU-55.
Dav-9210; KM-(MB)-16. Featuring a standing figure of St. Stephan holding a palm frond, this near-Mint crown presents great detail remaining throughout along with a deep tone that intensifies as one moves out from the central areas. Quite difficult to encounter in more elevated states of preservation and, accordingly, the piece is surpassed in the NGC census by a sole representative.
