1787 New Jersey Copper. Maris 63-r, W-5370. Rarity-5-. Large Planchet, Sprig Above Plow. VF-25 (PCGS).
155.5 grains. A very scarce Large Planchet variety. Mottled medium brown with a somewhat speckled appearance. Finely granular over both sides, but a bit smoothed in areas, including on the glossy devices. Very Fine is a high grade for this variety, and even with its faults this one is better than most.
