1787 New Jersey Copper. Maris 32-T, W-5100. Rarity-2. Wide Ears Below Gap, Outlined Shield. EF-40 (PCGS).
140.2 grains. Nice medium brown and olive with sharp devices and good eye appeal. The obverse is pretty ideally centered, missing denticles just at the upper left. The reverse is more notably misaligned to 5:00, with a substantial unstuck area at upper left. Some hairlines and a few very faint scratches are seen on the obverse, mostly concentrated in the lower left field, and the patina is a bit thin on the lower horsehead. While not perfect, this is a far sharper example than usually encountered of this Maris number.
PCGS# 688362.
