Description

Mount Olive, Illinois. $100 1929 Ty. 2. Fr. 1804-2. The Mount Olive NB. Charter #14285. PCGS Banknote Choice Very Fine 35.
An elusive Macoupin County issuer, which only issued Type 2 $100's. Six are reported in Track & Price's census, with this being a new addition. A note from this issuer has not sold at auction since a 2003 public sale. The Mount Olive National bank was a latecomer into the National Banking scene, having been chartered in October of 1934. $25,000 was issued by the bank before National Banking came to a close in 1935. This bright mid-grade note is sure to attract spirited bidding.

Estimate: $1500.00- $2500.00
