No. 122575. Signed by C. Parr and J. Kuhn. Printed by Hall and Sellers, 1777. The emblem illustrates a hand bleeding from pricks from a thorn bush; the motto is: SUSTINE VEL ABSTINE (Either survive or give up). The first "UNITED STATES" issue with the word "States" replacing "Colonies." Four full margins, albeit tight at bottom left. Beautifully inked, exquisitely printed emblem with sharp and clear ink signatures. One of only two 65 EPQs graded by PMG, with none higher. In fact, PMG has graded only three CC-66's as new. Most recently sold in September, 2018, it was formerly sold in August 2010 at which time the PMG holder pedigreed the note to the Affleck-Ball Sale of December 1975. PMG Pop 2/None Finer.
