AEOLIS. Myrina. AR Tetradrachm (16.80 gms), ca. 160-143 B.C. NGC Ch EF, Strike: 5/5 Surface: 3/5. Brushed.
SNG von Aulock-1660-5 var. (monogram); Sacks Issue 7. Stephanophoric type. Obverse: Laureate head of Apollo right; Reverse: Apollo Grynios standing right, holding branch and phiale; monogram to left, omphalos and amphora at feet; all within laurel wreath. Featuring the typical spread nature of the type, this lightly toned and highly pleasing example yields a charming degree of eye appeal.
