CANADA. Merchants Bank of Canada. 5 Dollars, 1916. CH #460-18-02. PMG Choice Very Fine 35.
Montreal, Quebec. Penned signature at left. Printed signature of H.M. Allan at right. Edwin F. Hebden portrait at left, with H.M. Allan at right. Steamship at center. Two beavers are at center on the reverse, encased within a heavily geometric design. Excellent lathe work, compliments of BABNCo. in dark hunter green ink. The margins are quite appealing, offering broad paper. Excellent eye appeal for the assigned mid-grade.
