A richly colored example featuring bold shades of deep honey and rose-gold. Striking detail is pleasingly sharp by Dahlonega Mint standards. This coin is sure to have great appeal for advanced Southern gold enthusiasts. The 1842-D Small Date, Small Letters is a conditionally challenging half eagle with most survivors well worn and grading no higher than EF-40. This lovely Choice EF example offers above average quality for the issue and plenty of eye appeal.
