(t) CHINA. Chihli (Pei Yang). 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar), Year 34 (1908). Tientsin Mint. Kuang-hsu (Guangxu). PCGS EF-40.
L&M-465A; cf. K-209 (for type); KM-Y-73.3; WS-0643. Frozen date issue with plain 4. Variety with short middle tail spine. A handsome example of the always popular type. Presenting with a charcoal patina that is rather fetching.

This lot was manufactured in China and was sourced from outside the United States for this auction after the tariffs were enacted. On July 27, 2022, the United States enacted new tariffs on collector’s items of Russian Federation or Republic of Belarus origin, including bullion and numismatic coins and banknotes. This lot was manufactured in the Russian Federation or the Republic of Belarus and was sourced from outside the United States for this auction after the tariffs were enacted. Accordingly, any client who wishes to take delivery of this item within the United States will be subject to a 35% import tariff plus a processing fee of 0.3464% (minimum $27.75 / maximum $538.40), at time of printing and subject to change.
