Krause WI-686 SC 8. Ca. 1850s. Lithograph of Ed. Mendel, Chicago. Vignette of Proserpina at left. Banknote format scrip and printed on bond paper. This railroad formed in 1856 as a sort of conglomerate of a few different rail lines. After decades of fiscal ineptitude, the rail line became absorbed into the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Rail Road in 1927. Problem free and very desirable.
