Chebanse, Illinois. Milk & Potter. ca 1860s 10 Cents. PCGS Currency Choice New 63.
Undated (ca. 1860s). Plain back. A fractional look-a-like that mimics the Third Issue 10 cent notes (Fr. 1251-56). This note would have been good for goods at Milk and Potter's store. Lemuel Milk was a farmer and a prosperous businessman who operated from 1868-83. The only example we have seen of this note and extremely desirable.
