Peripheral toning in rich steel-blue and crimson-red is largely confined to the obverse (read: wagon side) of this otherwise silver-tinged beauty. The Oregon Trail Memorial half dollar is among the most popular and coveted issues from the Classic Commemorative series, and the offered example is among the finest known to PCGS.
