Military Payment Certificate. Series 541. $5. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ.
S856-1 First Printing. An extraordinarily difficult note to find in Uncirculated condition, with the vast majority found today in F-VF grades. Vibrant color with crisp white paper. PMG has graded only three of these notes above 60, this 64 EPQ being the second-finest graded, with one 66 EPQ finer. Certainly one of the keys to the MPC series and prohibitively rare to find in this grade. A PCGS 64 PPQ realized $7,475 in a September 2011 auction. One of the highlights of this outstanding offering of MPC's.
