Fr. 91*. 1907 $5 Legal Tender Star Note. PCGS Banknote Choice About Uncirculated 58.
While there are a fair number of replacement notes available for this late Speelman-White Woodchopper, there are not a lot of uncirculated examples. The T&P census shows only about a dozen graded 60 or higher, and PMG shows only five on their Pop Report, making this Choice AU one of the better available specimens. Full, clear margins and vibrant red overprints give this note superior eye appeal. PCGS Banknote notes "Rust" on the back of the holder, but it took us a while to find it, and it is trivial at best. This is the finest of the four graded so far by PCGS Banknote.
