Fr. 69. 1878 $5 Legal Tender Note. PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.
Sporting the large red floral ornament around Washington D.C. , with Treasury Seal at left, this Gem quality 1878 Woodchopper $5 is among the nicer examples we have handled. Nice full margins with rich red overprint on both the serial numbers and seal. Deep rich blacks on the front, and a rich green on the back certainly add terrific eye appeal to this note.
