The back shows the full Red and Brown PATENT CONGREVE CHECK PLATE. The Nahant Bank was a short-lived institution that survived for a mere three years. This higher denomination note is in superb grade, without comment from the grading service, and carries the Eric P. Newman provenance. Originally sold for $2,115 in 2015.
