Lynn, Massachusetts. Nahant Bank. 1834 $20. PCGS Currency Very Fine 30.
(MA-790 G24) Plate A. Perkins Stereotype Steel Plate. Modified Perkins plate with Plenty at far left. Massachusetts seal at far right. The back shows the full Red and Brown PATENT CONGREVE CHECK PLATE. The Nahant Bank was a short-lived institution that survived for a mere three years. This higher denomination note is in superb grade, without comment from the grading service, and carries the Eric P. Newman provenance. Originally sold for $2,115 in 2015.
