Soaring inflation necessitated ever higher denominations, and the final issue of January 1779 saw 11 of the 16 denominations issued with a face value of $20 or higher. The earth at center of the emblem- "DEUS REGNAT EXULTET TERRA" (God reigns, let the earth rejoice) with a red-inked square at center. This full-margined $60 note sits atop the PMG census along with one other and sports every attribute one could expect from a Gem-grade including sharp and clear signatures and serial number, virtually flawless paper, nearly ideal inking bringing out every detail of the design and fantastic eye-appeal.
