Description

CC-20. Continental Currency. February 17, 1776. $1/3. PCGS Banknote Superb Gem Uncirculated 67 PPQ.
No. 387041, Plate B. Printed by Hall and Sellers. Red signature of B. Brannan. Fugio sundial at left with motto "Mind Your Business" below. An exceptionally well-printed example of this popular Fugio type. The clarity of the design and detail are stunning. This is by far one of the finest examples of this type we have handled in our lengthy auction history, and we are excited to give our bidders the opportunity to take this well-preserved example home. On PCGS Banknote's population report, the second finest graded example of this catalog number is in a Choice About Uncirculated 58 PPQ holder. For comparison, although this note is in a PCGS Banknote holder, PMG's highest graded note is in a Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ grade. This note is by far one of the finest, if not the finest, available to collectors. Worthy of a premium bid for those seeking the best of the best of American Revolutionary War era currency. PCGS Banknote Pop 1/None Finer.
From the Mid-Continent Collection.

Estimate: $8000.00- $12000.00
